I think it's gonna be real cold. Like Michigan (where i live). But no, If it is in fact a ice age, that means that huge amounts of water are frozen into glaciers (and because we only have so much water on earth) sea levels will actually go down because water is locked in the glaciers. Global warming causes glaciers to melt and hence rises sea level. And by the way, we are still technically in an ice age (we still have huge ice sheets) we are in what's known as an inter-glacial period. The last glacial maximum was about 22,000 years ago. Sea levels were so low that humans could walk across dry land from Ireland to Britain then to the mainland of Europe! Check out a map!

Well there really are several types of Ice Ages. As a general rule of thumb, subtract 10 degrees from the norms you have now. Definitely watch the History Channel for "Little Ice Age, Big Chill". You would be surprised how a few degrees actually affect the weather. The last "Little Ice Age", about 1000 AD to 1600 AD was only 4 degrees cooler.
Oh, and about going underwater... If water is being taken up as ice, actually the sea levels will go down. It is global warming that causes low level areas to be under water.

Well I have to say The next ice age probably won't happen for a long while we are in the global warming for right now. It probably won't happen in our lifetime even if it does I don't think Alabama is gonna be iced over this is the South LOL. But then again I'm not God so I don't know only God knows what's gonna happen in the future. Don't worry about it so much okay.

I don't think it would be a next ice age cause of global warming problems. Earth will not last long because people destroy it.
