Mega fauna, like Woolly Mammoths and Saber tooth Tigers, have no chance of ever re evolving, but there are still giant mammals, on the planet earth. Elephants, giraffes, muskox, lions, tigers and the largest animal ever to inhabit our planet, the blue whale, are still very much around, at least for the time being. It would be fantastic if some of the recently extinct, mega fauna, like the woolly mammoth, the woolly rhinoceros, the giant cave bear, the giant irish elk and the giant three toed land sloth were still roaming parts of our plant. Could you imagine a saber tooth tiger roaming around the hills surrounding Los Angeles, now that would be cool. Unfortunately the recently extinct species, that have been gone for 12,000 years, have little scientific chance, of ever being reintroduced, with today's scientific technology. The future is wide open however, and the technology might soon exist to reanimate, many of these incredible species, how great would that be. I would love to see a 8,000 pound, 12 foot tall sloth. I only wish the future would hurry up and get here. The expectation and excitement of such developments, are wildly frustrating.

Animals do not reevolve ... they just evolve into a later stage of life that is most suitable for their survival
Megafauna (I like that word) can be implied to numerous creatures currently walking or swimming on the surface: elephants, whales, sharks, bears ...
The Ice Age megafauna will not simply reappear out of thin air. However, there has been speculation that with the discovery of a mammoth body, DNA could be extracted and cloning may commence, so there is that possibility .. if you believe every little rumor.

Not while people are here. Certainly after we become extinct it's a possibility. We still have megafauna BTW - 20 whales, 2 elephants, 8 big cats, 2 hippos etc.

No, I think they became extinct and will remain...not unless someone tries cloning one by an ancient, old, dried blood drop...even then I doubt it could happen.
