im in the army and i know the divorce rate in the military sucks. I see it all the time, these guys come down here (Iraq) and get married before they leave to this girl who they have been with for 6 months. he comes here and she becomse "single" again. Its a F...ing shame. 20 year old men fighting a war and these girls runnning around like nothing is wrong.

Being in our military is one of the toughest jobs we have in this country. Not only for the in listed but for their spouses as well. Now that we are in this war the divorce rate has risen. Most people cannot understand what it is like to serve in the military. It is a whole different life for them and their families. When they come back after fighting they really have a hard time adjusting to civilian life and the way things were before they left. For some military they have a harder time of it and take it out on their families. I love this country and our military for fighting for my freedom, but I also feel sorry for them because a person can not just turn off what they saw or did while over seas. Therapy for their whole family is a must. The family needs to realize what they went through and they need to see what happened on the home front while they were gone as well. To all of you in the military. Talk things out with your families. They really don't know what you have been through but they can be very good listeners.

The DIVORCE rate in the Military services is real bad. Mainly because the spouse is sent on deployment, or to sea, or on field exercises, so they don't spend a lot of time at home. Marrying another service member isn't much better. I knew one poor guy stationed in Germany, while his wife was stationed in Belgium. She had a clerk job so she could be sent anywhere, but she also had a high security clearance so they wanted her at the NATO headquarters. I knew of others that had problems as well. Hence the saying: "If the Army wanted you to have a wife they would have issued you one."

It's terrible. But the military encourages people to marry and divorce. Like contract marriages - I've heard about it so much being a navy wife. People in military get married to any ol' body just to get more money. Then when their time for service is up. They divorce. Not to mention those people who marry because they love each other - or think they love each other, and lose the "love" because of distance and loniless. You have to have real love, faithful love, and a real good understanding or each other to make it.

It's not just the military. It's just too easy and acceptable for people to give up and quit these days.

Has nothing to do with the military, Has alot to do with the fact that no one respects the vows of matrimony and fidelity.

untill now I haven't, but since you brought it up. There's way too much and the truth be known / both parties should practice keeping their clothes on and restrain from lust for others.
