I really think it was the one when Ecuador and Germany played. He was awful and was so obviously in favor of Germany.

I personally think there hasn't really been any "bad ref jobs" this time. All the calls I've seen have been corretc and I'm a referee myself. The arguement I see often is "3 red cards in a game, jeeze"..... get used to it. Later on in the WC don't be suprised to see 5 or 6 red cards in a game. FIFA wants the players to stay healthy so they have the refs calling strict games. I watched the USA v. Italy game and all 3 red cards were well deserved. Theres no way these guys are gonna be biased; they're kept isolated, and if caught betting or taking bribes they're removed from reffing at any level. Just remember, these ref are the best in the world, if they can't ref these game correctly who can?

And FYI the fans are never happy with the reffing, they always feel the ref was biased so I've stopped listening to what they think about me as a ref.

Jorge Larrionda. This guy has had his referee license suspended for irregularities. He was barred from Korea/Japan in 2002 because of it. It was total brainlessness to give him his license back at all.

The only justified red card was the one against the Italian. I say this as a referee, and not as a USA fan. I have six years experience as a ref.

BTW it was not an elbow by the italian player. It was more like a Chuck Norris hammer-fist strike in karate!

That Uruguaian guy who reffed the US-Italy game, 3 Red cards in a single game! Jeez! But the whole tournament's been reffed horribly. Kinda like the entire 2005 NFL Playoffs.

Jorge Larrioda who ref'ed US vs. Italy. Those 2 red cards against the US were a joke, the first one was nothing but an attempt at equalizing for the Italian who got sent off (and should have been for throwing his elbow)

I think it should be the game between portugal and mexico. The yellow card was just being flung without mercy.Furthermore that resulted in a red card for mexico.

Frank de Bleeckere (Japan v Croatia); absolutely atrocious officiating if you ask me. I cannot re-call who the match official was for the U.S.-Italy match, but he was no better in my opinion.
