Personally I don't think so. I put Wade somewhere between MJ, Isiah Thomas, and Allen Iverson. I put Kobe at a MJ level. This based on the fact that Lakers with Kobe Shaq where way more scary to play than Miami. Combined with the fact that Kobe averaged 35.4ppg. That just speaks for itself. Not to mention he won 45 games with a team that would be worse than the Knicks without him. Don't get me wrong Wade is #2 I think. And a large part of it has to do with the fact that he's 2 inches shorter and Kobe's got a better shot. All I'm saying is if you traded Wade for Kobe I don't think Wade would've won 45 with the Lakers.
(What I'm saying is you made my point...)

Well, you asked if Wade was better than Kobe, so I took that to mean 1 player vs. other player, minus. the team. At Wade's stage in the NBA against Kobe's stage in the NBA, Wade is the better player. If you compare them now, Kobe has had more years in the league than Wade and has more fundamental understanding of the NBA. Wade makes his team better. Wade spent most of his time being "SELFLESS" when the Heat were down, giving the ball up to people who may not have been clutch players. He's changed that now that he has more confidence in his own abilities. Kobe is "SELFISH" wants the ball all the time, and would rather take an uneccessary shot to be the hero than to give the ball up to someone right under the basket. Kobe has great skills and has the potential to be the best player in the NBA, but if you look back at the game stats, when Kobe decided that he could win the game for the Lakers when they were down by 20, they lost. He's a hall of famer, but his selfishness, will soon hamper him more than it already has.

I think that both players are great. But to really compare them on a 2006 season stat is not rigth because of the experience advantage that kobe has. I have to say that I think that given his fast developpement in the league I think he will hopefully be greater than Kobe.
To the comparison with Jordan I have to say that none come close to his stature. Let just compare to see if added 2gether on their 3rd year in the NBA they were able to have 100 block and 200 steals in one season. I'm actually wondering if he's really human (Maybe he's the son of Jor-El that Shaq wish he was)
Love Wade though! And waiting to see how far he will go. And for those who say that Shaq drew the double, tripple teams so that Wade would b able to drive the ball to the net I'd advise to watch the games again particurlarly the end of game 5 where he had to dirve the ball guarded by 5 Mavs.

There is no way that at 24 years old Kobe wins a championship with a 34 year old Shaq. Wade may not quite be as experienced as Kobe, but he's well on his way to being better over the course of a career.

kobe is by far better than wade even though i love wade's game (kid was unbilievable in the finals) the only reason he was soooo good in the finals was because shaq was drawing double and triple teams and wade was allowed to go one-on-one if kobe had that option now they would win every year.
well kobe scored 81 and you really can't say that enough and he scored 62 thru 3 against the team that wade dominated (mavs only had 61) i honestly think that if the lakers were to play against the mavs in the playoffs they would win.........but that's just my opinion
kobe scores soooo much but i think that if he had teammates that could actually make a shot i think that he would average somewhere around 7 or 8 assist a game
KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBE
BASKETBALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Kobe Bryant's stats for last finals' series 03-04' 8th season
22.6 ppg(41%) 2.8 reb 4.4 ast L Detroit 4-1
Dwyane Wade's stats for first finals' series 05-06' 3rd season
34.7 ppg 46.8% 7.8 reb 3.8 ast W Dallas 4-2
Kobe playing with Shaq averaging 24 pts at 63% Wade playing with Shaq averaging 13 pts at 61%
I dont want to take up too much time but there are plenty of stats available -- those stats comparing Kobe in his 8th year with a better Shaq to Wade in his 3rd with a lesser Shaq. Show me where Kobe is better.-- show me your facts.
Wade is clearly better.

I think if you play any team ball you are better than Kobe. If kobe quit trying to score all the point he would be awesome and he could win. LOL the guy is all about self but thats just my opinion everyone has one
