in PLAYING videos its the nokia 7710... 640 x 320 resolution--but i suggest you need to crop it in a ratio of 16:9 (because you may miss some important parts of the video) so maybe 520 x 320 is its resolution for the video. and also download a TCPMP player--which supports mpeg and avi and plays in 25 fps...its really so smooth like watching tv. speaker of 7710 is also very loud and clear(i think it's the loudest than any phone for now, i'm not sure if 3250 is louder or the upcoming n92 with dual speakers) 7710 is sold for about 350-430 us dollars. in capturing videos with 7710...it is a bad experience coz it's too pixelated. also 7710 has the largest internal memory in nokia phones... 90MB memory! it has also mmc slot that supports 1 GB.

in capturing videos as well as playing... nothing beats the n93 for now. but it has only 320 x 240 resolution.

i have a 7710, thats why i know it. 7710 is nice, only slow and bulky. but if the ONLY thing you want in a phone is video playing, 7710 is the best choice considering the price and media features.

I recommend the Sony Ericsson W800. Perhaps there are better phones, but this is a well known for the use you wanted.

Motorola Razr V3c with 40Mb of memory and a huge screen. I gurantee there is nothing better. Nokia is a rip off if you want one of their nice phones.
