Sure, who doesn't. Sometimes, talking to yourself while say, doing an important task is a way of concentrating on things, such as whispering or stating each step in a recipie, or performing a puzzle of some sort in a video game I recount a time, playing Final Fantasy X:

"Okay, go down here, across the hall, up the elevator thingy. Got the orb, go back down, take the other orb, switch them in the orafice..."

I talk to myself very often. I think that is absolutely common. Maybe not normal but common! *gg*
The funny thing is that when I'm in a really good mood, I talk to myself in English to practise the language (I'm a Native German speaking person) - which might be useless, but it's fun. LOL

If you don't talk to yourself, you're not human! The only thing that could be a problem is, if you do it in front of others, prolonged and commonly.

Talking to your self quietly is called mumbling.

Talking to your self is called self communication.

Talking to your self loudly is called self-convincing.

Answering yourself too much on the other hand could land you in the padded room.
