I had a tire blow-out a couple of weeks ago. After getting a new front driver's side tire, my car now makes a low-pitched grinding noise when I turn my steering wheel to the right. FYI- I drive a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. Thanks for your help!

The new tire is exactly the same size and make as the the tire that was blown out, and it does not seem to be rubbing anywhere.

Could the noise I'm hearing be related to the suspension or CV joint?

the tire probably damaged the cv joint boot,,check it and see if it loosing grease,,also check for any pieces of the tire that may be hung in the fender somewhere,,otherwise,,if it wasn't doing this before,,and you don't find any of these it might be a good idea to take it to a good mechanic to have it checked out really good.

If you had a blow out, it could have damage the inside of the fender, look for something hanging, or you might have put too big a tire on it.

sounds like you might have some problems with the alignment or wheel bearings. Also, it's best to change tires in pairs so that you don't have further problems. Please take your car in to where you got your tire and have them check things out.

Be safe

the tire is to big and it is rubbing the fender, look on the tire for the size and # and compare them with the other tire #.
