If you live in an apartment and eveybody around you does, then yes. If you live in a house and the person across the street, and the two people next door to you do, then no. They can move, or cancel their internet whenever they want. if their router is unplugged then your screwed. f your neighbor has a virus trhen you do to. Like stated befroe, they can intercept packets, or they can send you a virus if they want.

If they don't have their networks secured, it is rather easy to do so, but it is illegal in a lot of places, and you don't have any control over the network if a problem arises.

Additionally, there is a security risk involved. If one of your neighbors intercepted packets you send to the router that contain credit card numbers, etc, you could be in trouble.
