You have to provide your RN license to the facility or agency you are working for. You do not have to carry them with you at your job.

Since you recently came to this country, have you checked to make sure it is valid here? I don't know where you are from, but depending on your country you may have to talk to the department of health in your state(unless you were educated here, then your fine). My mom is an RN and they validate and record your license when you get a job, so it is always on file. I really don't recommend you carry it on your person, as someone could steal it and work on your license. And if they do something wrong, you might lose your license.
