never really heard of that brand?? there are alot of so-called knock off brands that are made to appeal to those that want to buy cheap products. my recommendation is that if you plan to stay in the home for a few years then stay with a well known brand! trane, carrier, rudd, reem are all excellent products. i installed a 12 seer trane heat pump in my former house and i wish i had one in my new house. mandated by the epa all new units now are suppossed to be @ least 13 seer and i would suggest going with one unless you can get a good deal on a 12 seer, but i wouldnt go below that because the cost of fuel and electricity continues to sky-rocket. check with your local utility, some are offering rebates and you may be able to deduct off of your taxes for upgrading to an energy-efficient model??? as for the comment on heat pumps being useless up north?? well the rule of thumb is that there is heat in the air all the way down to -400 degrees , but after you get to 32 degrees usually a heat strip of some kind will come on to suppliment the heat pump. so if your outside air temp consistently stays below 30 degrees you may be better off going with an 90% efficent gas furnace and an a/c unit package unit??? best to get @ three estimates as well!! good luck

One thing I do know about heatpumps is that if you live in the north where you get a lot of well below freezing...Heat Pumps do not do the job of heating.........If you live in the south they are fine....Good Luck.....personnally and as a Professional opinion I would pick electric or gas before I go Heat Pump...but you know what they say about opinions....
