We are looking to relocate to NC from AZ hopefully in the next 1-2 yrs. This area in AZ is growing rapidly, the schools are no good and the area has lost its old western town feel here. Any thoughts i would really appreciate it! Thanks!

North Carolina is a LONG state, so there are plenty of options. Some areas are more diverse than others, some have MUCH better schools, jobs are better in other places. Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill is a bustling area. Charlotte actually has some nice suburban areas (you don't want to live IN the city). There are plenty of smaller towns, but I would avoid the area in the eastern state along the SC border, because it is poor and rural. Lots of areas up 95 toward VA are nice once you get past Fayetteville, and most of the mountain areas can be nice, but some are VERY secluded.

Honestly, Chapel Hill is the best area. The schools are great, and the people are very nice. Not to mention the town itself is very diverse, so you get a good feeling of the different cultures. It's also beautiful! I lived there for two years before moving back to Durham; it's a little expensive.

I grew up on Reliegh for about 7 years in different places, it was good for me, but honestly that was the only place in NC that I have lived so couldn't help you with this..

I live here in the beautiful blue ridge mountains of NC, in Boone NC, it's a great place to live and to visit. I've lived here all my life, if you ever visit, I hope you enjoy your self.
