i have a dvd drive in my computer and it used to work perfectly but now i dont know what happened it doest want to play dvds at all it plays anytin else but a dvd. it doesnt read da dvd disc and i dnt no y it used to be perfectly fine before.......

Download a new driver for it. You may need a DVD player proggie. I would find the drive install disks, and reinstall the drive, and all the software that came with it.

Yes, reload the drivers for this optical drive. Also, if it is a combination drive - meaning it can also read CDs - try a music CD in it.

You may also want to reload your CD and DVD reading software - just to be sure.

However, it is possible that the drive still plays CDs and will no longer play DVDs. These drives do read each differently.

Tony re-install your DVD Drivers and try again or disconnect your drive and un-install the drivers. start up your PC. once started turn it off. now replace your DVD Drive or re-connect your DVD I ment. Windows will find the DVD and ask for Drivers. rest you know

i had this problem before ,unplug it from the computer and remove it from the device manager and install it again, use the driver for install it and reinstall your DVD program, such as Asus DVD or anything it might be ur software problem.
