As a die hard WHITE SOX fan I am hoping that they DO! After our tremendous year last year and KNOWING what it is like to live in a town that has two teams but the other ALWAYS get the atttention (but for you at least the Yankees win it still baffels me cuz the Cubs suck) I am rooting for them all the way!! If the White Sox don't make it (? and I usually root for AL) and the METS do, I want you to know that there will be at least one person in Chicago that will be supporting them. Screw the Yankees and Red Sox! If you are a Mets fan - God you have to be SICK AND TIRED of them!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!

The Mets are running away with the division, and actually have a great blend of veterans and rookies. They're just playing really consistently, and the rest of the division is pretty weak, so I'm thinking (and hoping) that they'll be a lock for the NL East Championship.
I'm really tired of people thinking the Yankees deserve to be in the World Series, it's just silly. The Yankees are very beat up, their ace pitcher has been absolutely horrible, and they have been very unimpressive this season. I would be surprised if they even made the wild card this season.

It'll be nice to see the Mets get to the World Series. They'll put up a better fight than the Astros did last year, but the end result will still be the White Sox taking the title again.

The Mets are a decent team right now but I don't see them winning it all. They're gonna win the NL East, ending the Braves run of 14 straight division titles, but definitely not the World Series.

Mets-Tigers sounds like a fascinating possibility. As a Mets fan since 1963, "you gotta believe." But this edition of the team seems to have gotten its act together. Now if the Seattle Mariners can get their act together...but they will finish second behind Oakland.

in spite of Santana and ok-Rod, the Mets won't attain the worldwide series this year. they are going to ought to get previous the protecting champions the Phillies (yep, their branch rival) formerly they could think of roughly making it to the worldwide series and these days, the Phillies have been humiliating the Mets.

The Mets have a good chance. They have a nice blend of young and veteran talent. My concern is the pitching. You get past Pedro and Glavine and it's charting unknown territory. Trachsel has been inconsistent and El Duque is like 55 years old (although he can still get it done). That is why I would like to see Omar Minaya add another veteran starter who can give them innings and quality starts before the trade deadline.

Mets V. Red Sox. 8th Inning Game six, Coco Crisp hits a ground ball to 1st base. Inexplicably, Carlos Delgado lets it go through his legs and the Sox score the winning run going on to win the series in 7 games.
