Republicans tend to be conservatives (though there are exceptions for sure)....
In general, conservatives want to "conserve" our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and strive to keep the government close to the principles upon which it was founded.
Being a Conservative...I'd like to remove the Commerce Clause though!!!!!

No, its the democrats that want to restrict civil liberties under the guise of freedom, one thing the republicans have going is that they are firm believers in capitalism, the bill of rights, the constitution, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those are the things that the liberals stand against.

Ha! The Republicans aren't the ones you need to worry about. The ACLU and liberal judges are going to destroy our constitution and country. Admittedly the Republicans look more and more like Liberals in our Senate today but the Liberals are the ones you really need to fear. www.todaysperspective.com

I don't know about eliminate... they would have a hard time explaining that one to even the most loyal republicans... but they would like to take a pen and mark out a few things I bet...

My thoughts are, yes. They are already ammending the ammendments. Why not just do away with everything our founding fathers worked so hard for? And what our ancestors gave their LIVES for? And what my brothers and sisters overseas are giving their lives for this very moment? I don't understand it..... "Go give your life for something I don't believe in"......
