Most people feel uncomfortable around the police or any authoritative figure.
Once I stepped outside the house with a bag full of rubbish to put in the dustbin. Standing outside was a policeman in uniform. (The next door neighbour's brother)
'Hello' say I 'Just putting the rubbish out'.
How dumb.

It sounds like you have subconscience fear of the cops, maybe due to the fact of what you smoked, chipa?, anyway, while smoking these feelings were subdued by it, and now that you stopped, your feeling what has been hidden by the drug. I had a similar thing while in the military, to the point i would get very nervous when talking to my higher superiors, and I would shake uncontrollably. I spent almost 11 years in, and only felt this way the last couple years before i got out. I don't know when it started, but before then I had no fear of talking to my superiors.

You definitely should see a counsellor. You need to keep in mind that you may have been mugged at gunpoint but not by an officer. Also know that some officers dont even carry around guns, such as Airport Security and those Rent-A-Cop guys you see in malls and such. Usuauly it's just state troopers and city cops who carry a loaded gun. Some guns actually just shoot blanks or similar non-lethal projectiles.

im so sorry to hear of your misfortune. have you tried hypnotherapy it may help to calm you (it sounds as though you re having panic attacks, go see your doctor he/she can probably help aswell), also what about yoga and relaxation techniques they can sometimes work i usually find that the more relaxed i am the more confident i feel and the more angry or stressed i am the more nervous i am. Try to find out about any support groups in your area so that you could talk to people who have been through similar experiences, talking is good it helps sometimes to just let rip and say what you feel. Hope you are feeling better soon.

The last person you need to be concerned about is a police man. They are the good guys placing their lives on the line to defend me and you and everyone else in the world. You should be more afraid of the guy sitting in the car next to you at the traffic light than wasting your time worrying about the cops...I LOVE COPS!!!

I have a trick for you:
Imagine this uniform shitting in his pants, and you'll get over it, coz most of them are instinct driven. Some others are very good sensitive people though!!
I personnally laugh when I imagine that under the uniform there is often a coward.
What we respect in fact is the uniform, and less the one under it...
so, dont be scared by a uniform

You must have a guilty concious......or you smoked too much chiba.....If you have nothing to hide, then youll be OK...Just remember...they are only doing their jobs....and no...they are not watching you, so step away from the window and quit looking for them outside...they are not there!!

IF YOU GET SCARED WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER A POLICE OFFICER THEN YOU HAVE A GUILT COMPLEX.

OR POSSIBLY GUILTY OF COMMITTING A MISDEMANOUR, THAT WOULD WARRANT A POLICE OFFICERS ATTENTION.

WHAT ARE YOU GUILTY OF? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
