Even if Asamoah Gyan is suspended they still have other greats strikers like Boakye, and they didnt even have Samuel Kuffour against the Chzecs

Considering how the USA team has been playing I would say Ghana has more chances to win the game.

GHANA 3-1 USA suck at football they should just go home and not bother coming to the world cup. I hope my country ENGLAND win the tournament. But seriously get those yanks out of football, they havent got a clue (basically they are just a load of crap) stick with baseball or basketball and dont interfere with the Englishmans game.

If the US wins it does not mean they will advance to the next round.

Even if Italy losses against the Czechs, the US will have to beat the italians by the total number of goals. Otherwise, the US will be eliminated and Italy and Czech republic will go forward. This means that the US not only has to win but it is forced to score at least 3 more goals.

Italia has the best chance out of all the teams in its group to go to the next round and the US has the least probabilities.

Here are all of the possibilities.

The criteria for selecting who will pass to the next round has 4 individual criterions.

1) Number of total wins (primary criterion)
2) Number of total goals (used when the teams are tied on wins)
3) What was the outcome of a match between two teams (in
case of a draw between two of the teams in the above criteria)
4) Penalties (only in the final game, not applicable here)

a) Italy has 1 win (3 points) and 1 draw (1 point) = 4 points
b) Czech has 1 win (3 points) and 1 loss (0 points) = 3 points
c) Ghana has 1 win (3 points) and 1 loss (0 points) = 3 points
d) US has 1 loss (0 points) and 1 draw ( 1 point) = 1 point

In Depth Analysis

If Italy wins against Czech republic (1-0) Italy passes no matter how the other teams perform

If Italy draws say (1-1) then Italy has a big chance to win

If Italy losses ( 0-1) Czech republic passes and Italy can still pass depending on who wins and by how many goals ( this only applies to the US) between Ghana and US.

If Ghana wins (1-0) the US is out and Ghana passes with a score of 6 points and 3 goals. Italy is then forced to win or draw against the Czech republic. If Ghana wins and italy draws, Ghana (6 points) and Italy(5 points) would pass to the next round
Czech Rep. (4 points) and US (1 point) wioul;d be eliminated

Czech Rep. would have 4 points and 4 goals (if 1-1). Italy would have 5 points and 4 goals So Italy and Ghana would pass.

If Italy losses ( 0-1) and the US wins against Ghana, Czech republic would pass and it would have to be decided who would pass between Italy and the US.

As I said before, Italy would have 4 points and 3 goals
the US would have 4 points and already has 1 goal so it has to accumulate 3 goals in its game against Ghana and win so that it can have 4 goals to beat Italy's 3 goals. If Italy, however, losses (1-2) and the US wins, the US is forced to win and have 4 goals for against Ghana for a total of 5 points to beat Italy's 4 goals.

Conclusion:

The easiest way for Italy to qualify is for the US to win ( it is highly unlikely that the US would make 3 goals, therefore, Italy passes and the US could pass with 7 points. (Italy can still lose and pass)
However, if Italy ends up being second in their group, they will face Brazil next which they will try to avoid at all cost!!!!!

The hardest way for Italy to qualify is for Ghana to win
(since Italy can get a way with a draw and pass)

The two ways that Italy can be eliminated is if

a) Italy losses against the Czech Rep and Ghana wins

b) Italy losses against the Czech Rep and makes no
goals, and the US wins with at least 3 goals. The
more goals Italy make the US will be forced to win
and make more goals even if Italy losses.
