How did a man that says "nucular" and not "nuclear" along with a multitude of Bush-isms ever make it into the highest of all political offices? So he went to yale and on and on and on.... He opens his mouth and he sounds like the dumbest man on the planet next to Al Gore. The world hates this entire nation, and Bush gets on tv and adds insult to injury. How did we allow this to be? Not just once, but twice???
I'll grant that I've become more conservative in my age. Whether or not it's a bad thing, I don't pretend to know. But to have my interests represented by this stupid hayseed is embarrassing. His average rhetoric is full of machismo "we're not gonna take this crap" reparte. It's boring and phallic ranting. He's an ivy league caveman or something of the like.
Can he be educated? Why doesn't he have a speech or articulation coach? If an actor can hire one, why can't the american government?
That man needs help, he's single handedly flushing our image as a respectable nation.

scuba lady, so far you're ahead of the pack! i laughed out loud! thanks!!

Renee, i'd rather have a MAN with a secret plan, than an idiot with no idea in office!

Spike, you elaborate the point perfectly

vanamont, your destiny is to be an idiot, our leaders are supposed to be the cream of the crop, not the chaff from the wheat. he has nothing of substance to say (not that we, the educated, could understand it for the way he talks.

Sophie, he won those elections on "daddy's" good name, not at all because he might have deserved it. the brittish speak, it sounds lofty. we speak it sounds alright. he speaks, that twang and all the inarticulation sounds plain stupid. if you think our reputation as a nation is ok, read the bbc news, the world press, and the associated press world edition. sweetie, we're in the toilet!

V's girl - i AM educated!!! what do you think spurred this rant? HELLOOOOO, you're an diot too.. why do i waste my time replying to people like that?

Ok if you really want your answer, but I have to warn you, you prob won't like it because it's not sugarcoated and will offend many, but it's the truth. First you mock a man who has the hardest job in the world. Yea he has some things you can poke at but I'll bet money on you not being all that either. What things can people make fun of you about? That fact that it's juvenile hasn't even occurred to you, has it? I'm glad to hear that you’re a conservative that's a plus for you. As far as his not taking crap, oh I'm sorry you would rather have a president that let this country get walked all over and "take crap". 3000 Americans dead not enough for you? As far as our respectable nation goes, we respect it, no other country does. They hate us. (I’m sure that doesn’t go for every country but most do) Other countries hate us because we are free, because we live better than they do, because we have the nicest house on the block. I could go on but that will take all day. Most countries are just flat out jealous of us. The same as a poor person would be jealous of a rich person. We do act like the worlds police because we are. Most UN troops, Americans. We are the ones who stand up to right and wrong (even if it takes 12 years to do so). If you really lover your country you would respect the office of the president and back who ever sits there. I didn't like Bill but I only voiced what I thought he did wrong, I didn't make fun of obvious flaws in his character. Hell I’d slept with Monica too if I had to look at Hillary everyday. There that's my one pun for him or her depending on what way you look at it. I'm actually glad you posted your question, it made me think of my own flaws that I might want to change and better myself, thank you. And as far as him getting voted in twice,,,, Americans are as a whole very stupid,,, and I mean dumb,,, We have our freedom and we mock it. Most people who vote don't even know what they are voting on, and even if they think they do they don't know what else is on the same issue that they are voting on. Most Americans don't understand that a bill to fund schools could also have a part of it that funds some senators or counsel member’s pockets. And it's really sad to say that most Americans think politicians don't lie or will actually do what they say they will. About 1% might have morals and do what is good for the country and not just for them selves. Hardly anyone checks out what type of person they are voting for they just vote for the party they consider themselves part of. Or they vote on what name they recognize. Or worse still they don't vote. In my personal opinion Bush is doing what is right and just. I don't believe he's a totally honest person by any means, but I’d done exactly the same thing as he is doing and defended the country from the cowards that murdered 3000 Americans on 9/11. And why did they do it, because we don't worship the same God they do.

This is proof on how stupid Most people are.

We live in a country where someone who plays a game ex football, basketball, etc.... makes 100 times more than a person who is educating our future generations and will have a great impact on the way kids think. Where the only way to actually make enough money in the working world to life is to further our education and put ourselves so far in debt doing it that all we end up doing with the extra money is paying it off. Where we put non-violent offenders away for years and give a man who rapes a child a slap on the wrist! That pisses me off right there. The man should die for that. Where if a male teacher sleeps with his teenage student and gets made out to be the worst person in the world and when a female teacher does she is bipolar and we need to feel sorry for her. If she's bipolar how the hell did she get a teaching job to begin with? Where states want to give more rights to illegal aliens and takes ours away by ignoring public out cry. And so forth.

I understand that no country or person is perfect, but we should be smarter has a whole and really do something about the obvious problems.

People don't like to take responsibilities for their actions or problems they've gotten themselves into. We talk and talk about the problems we see everyday and just blame this person, or that person for what they don't like.

Maybe some people would do better to use Bush as an example, he doesn’t try to hide his flaws, he laughs at them too, but he doesn’t take crap and he does what he feels is right and he became president. What about you who reads this? Can you say you have made anywhere near what he has accomplished? Think about it before you blame, or poke fun of, or downgrade.

No. Even if his father had never been President. You have to take into account the fact of destiny. Which is part of the doings of men in this life. I'm not quick to approve of him, but less so to shoot at him for the following reason; he's just one guy.

When he steps down another guy will take his place. Doesn't matter. What IS at issue is the unmentioned political machinery he presumably presides over. Does he really? Or does it preside over him?

Too, we as a people, are not clean as pure driven snow. We have to take personal responsibility. Many among us are all too willing to do what is wrong. So, as the people, so the leadership general.

This doesn't seem as clear cut as other answers might be, but I stand by this summation. As far as us being respectable, we lost that quite a while ago. It's kept very quiet. We murder babies, remember? We create poor people. Our allies of today may surely be our enemies of tomorrow for our convenience and profit.

Speechwriting doesn't mean anything.

Having something substantive and good to say is.

Amazing, isn't it lol. What baffles me even more is why people reelected this administration.

By the way, he graduated high school with a C average and if it hadn't been for his father, he'd have never gotten in. His SAT score was in the low 1200... not too bright. Graduated Yale with a C average and got into Harvard Business school (another legacy school without academic integrity). There are no records of his GMAT score ... probably for a reason.

PS... maybe he doesn't need to be educated... afterall, God talks to him regularly LOL

perhaps your avatar would like another mocca-frappa-latta expresso from starbucks...

"stupid" hayseeds make up a large portion of this county wheter you realize it or not, you condicending know it all. Not everyone can articulate very good...so people excell at certain things in life and are deficant in others. We all have our flaws, so get off your high horse and look at yourself for a change. See some of your flaws and try not to be so judgemental on others.

I seem to recall his rise to power resulting from elections which he won.

If you want to think Bush is stupid, fine. But you really should base your conclusions on something besides pronunciation of words. After all, the British pronounce words differently from Americans. Does that make them stupid? Or does that mean that they're smart, and we're stupid?
Or is it just the way they talk?

Ah, one more thing.... I love your statement, "The whole world hates this entire nation." Who exactly did you interview to come to that conclusion? Asked everyone in the world, did you?

He has never worked for ANYTHING in his life, he is a son of privilege. Think Forrest Gump but instead of Good luck he had his daddy's financial backing versus the GREAT Bill Clinton who rose from nothing to become America's greatest president in the modern era.

He has a rich daddy who was a President and there are a lot of stupid Americans who think guns, God, and gays are more important than the economy, education, and health care.

2,500 young dead U.S. soldiers for what? To bring democracy to a country that doesn't want us there? Over 20,000 injured, and spent almsot half a TRILLION dollars. Imagine if we used that money to improve our schools and health care AND secure our borders...IMAGINE! Things are gonna change in November. Congress won't even increase minimum wage $2.10 up to $7.25, BUT they voted to give THEMSELVES a pay raise. What b*stards. Vote them OUT!

Would you rather have Kerry in office right now? Worse of two evils it is. At least Bush could tell you a straight story without "I am a war hero." and " I have a plan" although top secret.

I do that every morning. That is my alone time. My time to just think and do nothing until the busy day takes over. I love seeing the sun come up, hearing the birds and seeing the rabbits and squirrels running around. It is those simple pleasures that remind me to slow down and enjoy things in life. Life affirming... a new day and I am still in it. : ) I can still appreciate it.
