Tree is at least 30ft high and we did get cherries this season.

never prune off more than 30 percent in a year's time! that percentage should reflect the deciduous growth.

You can vut it back this fall.But u will need to decide the hight you are wanting and give it a shape too.The folloing year it will grow but you may not have cherries or very few that year
