OMG! I can't belive people are giving you a hard time for this. School's not out at my school yet.
The answer is 1am because Sara lives in Hawaii where it's 8pm. If you go 5 time zones east you need to add 5 hours. So, you know that 8 + 5 = 13... and that would mean 1am

Think of the west coast of the US. New York is 3 zones to the east of California. 8 pm in California... 11 pm in New York.
Add 5 time zones to 8 pm and you have 1 am....
Actually the time is 8:08 in the Eastern Time Zone now.
