Why do people always have to be so dadgum sick on the internet, talking about sex, and targeting children?? Its supposed to be an informational place, but now im so scared to put my name or ANYTHING about myself on the internet.

I think it says more about people than about the internet. The net is still a great source of information.

The internet attracts all the people you find in our society including the rude, sick, vulgar, stupid etc ....the only difference is you're more exposed to some of these sickos online then you would be normally.
You're very wise to be cautious and not give out any details. I myself am a very private person and don't give away any identifying info about myself or get too involved with people online.

Don't worry about it. You're not required to be so personal. It's a public thing. The fact you'd like to infers you're a friendly, outgoing person. You must observe some caution. Ours isn't a perfect world. There are those who take great pleasure in defiling something that could be decent and good. Don't let it get to you. The net is still one of the best things going. At least I think so.

Because they feel free and kinda hidden, so they tend to do all sorts of bad things online. Most times people who indulge in this kinda of stuff like sex talk, are too shy, or they they don't everyone to talk to in real life so Internet is their best alternative. that's just the way it is

The internet did not get starting by a newsgroup by sexual predators. It was started by the Military.

Well, okie, I hate to break it to you, but the internet actually started as a newsgroup for sexual predators. It expanded from there, but there are estimates that as much as 50% of the internet's content is pornography.

They think they are being clever and getting attention but they are really showing how stupid they are.
