could we create each other, at the same point? think of it like an acrobat, reaching for another acrobats arms, what if the universe desired creation, and from this desire we created each other, or reached out to grab the other?

well, this is just my two cents. I believe we absolutly could create God. I think that "God" is our hand up to understanding that first cause, and the why and how of what we are. I think that God is a "step down" from that "All" that is beyond the idea of "God". Some philosophers believe we exist in the mind of God. Could we create ourselves? I would say that if in essence we contain a divine spark of God then yes we could actually be God creating it's God self. Another words we are manifestations of God and God is a manifestation of us. We can not really "prove" we are here, so perhaps we exist in a dream of "Gods" or perhaps God exists in our dream. I think most religions create God in our image. Giving God the boundaries that seem almost human. The responses that God gives seem almost human. I believe that if God is real and true and not just a creation of our minds, then perhaps God would not have the same boundaries and idea's that human kind has. A God response to a issue would be very different from a human response.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1.
Keep reading the following chapters and you will find that before there was anything, God existed. He was not created by anyone. HE'S GOD!
We humans cannot create. Not in the way that God can create. Sure we can invent things and mess around with stuff that has already been created (e.g. DNA) but no one can make things out of nothing like what God did.
With the power of His voice and His will He spoke creation into existence. And He didn't leave any sludge to evolve into higher life forms; He finished it all!
Even today He is alive and active; planning our futures and drawing us closer to Himself. He loves us which is why He created such a beautiful world for us to live in. The least we can do as His creation is to humble ourselves and receive His love and forgiveness.

you are making the assumption that the universe had a point of origin. There is new evidence that supercedes the 'big bang' theory. The universe we are living in is, at this point, an expanding universe. However, there is evidence that indicates the universe goes through expanding and contracting cycles and that there have been many 'big bangs'. There has been no indication of an original beginning to the universe.

Pretty profound, huh.

On the god issue... there is one school of thought that diety originally arose from the concept of ancestor worship. And, perhaps hard to believe by some, the original diety was female. It goes something like this: We are able to observe that all animals are born from the mother. The mother had a mother, who had a mother... and so,by extention, there must have been an original mother... the originator of all life. People held this concept in reverence, knowing that their very life is a gift from their ancestors... hence, worship of sorts... or more like honoring ceremonies.

Some of the more 'modern' religions, i.e., christianity, islam, etc. are spin-offs that have been politically tainted.

Man created religion, god, beliefs, the different systems.
As technology advances, beliefs disappear. The moon was once thought of as a God. Very few people believe that these days.
Life can be formed by innanimate matter (atoms).
The fact we are here is absolutely not correlated with god, a higher force, or power.
And last, for all those religion fanatics, EVOLUTION doesn't mix with RELIGION, so please stop wanting to be OK with god and the devil at the same time. The silliest thing I have ever heard is god creating genes and RNA so it could evolve according to a divine plan.

No, we cannot create ourselves; the creator doesn't create itself.

In a sense, we create God, but God is really a concept we have created to explain the unexplainable forces that brought the universe into existance. We didn't create the forces, but we did personify them in God.

Don't get God confused with Religion. Religion is man made, not God made.

Man created religion, religion did not create man.

I believe in God or some higher power, but I do believe in evolution was the devine design.

Of course we cant create ourselves ,we cant even create a simple thing like a hair, nail etc that grows,so creating God would be impossible. We are God's creation & we are a part of him.In a way, he also depends very much on us to fulfil his dreams.
