I always thought they were brothers. Hence the fact they don't agree alot and have little arguments like brothers, but still love each other in the end. Anyhow it's a kid show, they wouldn't be prancing around with the idea of boyfriend/girlfriend or boyfriend/boyfriend or girlfriend/girlfriend

I think Bert and Ernie are great for kids ( sesame street) this show has been a great learning tool for kids who are dumped in front of the TV. to be entertained

NEVER BERT AND ERNIE WERE JUST GOOD FRIENDS WHO SPLET IN THE SAME ROOM WHO SOEMTIMES TALKED TO EACH OTHER IN THE BATHTUB, AND PLAYED WITH RUBBER DUCKIES, AND BLEW INTO INSTRUMENTS BUT NOT GAY.
