Yes, very slowly, but if you *want* a tan it's a very dangerous way of doing it - Far better not to wear any sun lotion at all, and only stay out for a few minutes initially, until you start to build up a natural tan. Skin cancer has been increasing in many parts of the world in recent decades and it's probably because of sun tan lotion - People use it to prevent sunburn and thus spend much longer in the sun, not realising that although sun lotion does indeed inhibit sunburn it's never claimed to inhibit skin cancer. Hence it seems likely that sunblock causes skin cancer by encouraging people to spend far longer in the sun than they would otherwise.

Most SPFs are designed to encourage your skins natural defense agains the sun "TAN" and block those rays that cause sunburns. So feel free to protect yourself and tan safely!

Yes i do. I use a tanning oil with a SPF 15 in it and it works. You can use suntan lotion too and you will get a tan

Of course, it just protects you from burning. But if you wear spf 50 you might not do so well as if you were wearin spf 15.
