Listen to Midwife, most guys don't get there jollies over things like that. It'll take a while for him to clue in and get bonded, he's being normal.
Take him to a sports car dealer and have them rev up the engine and watch his eyes pop out of his head and his face glow. Now your thinking ya okay sooo lets split he's looking at you the same way your looking at him talking about the baby.Got the message, in a year or two once the baby develops then he should more receptive sooo don't take it personal we don't bond like women do. It takes a while sometimes so try not to feel bad about it and don't take personal it'll change with time.

My fiance (boyfriend at the time) got so excited to hear our baby's heartbeat. Is your husband feeling resetful? It kind of looks like he sees this child as a burden. Maybe he feels left out? I think you guys should sit down and have a heart to heart talk about this.

He's scared stiff.

He's worried that he won't be able to provide for the baby. And a million other things are going through his mind.

Not only that, he's not in control of this situation in any way shape or form.

He doesn't tell you this cuz guys bottle in their emotions. He doesn't want you to know he's worried until the "crisis" is over, so he doesn't say anything.

He's probably just completely freaked, especially if this is your first. If he is otherwise generally supportive and seems OK, I wouldn't let it worry me at all. No matter how ready you think you are to have children, sometimes the undeniable reality (i.e. a heartbeat) of another person that will be completely dependant on you takes a bit of getting used to. Kind of like pre-wedding jitters. Congratulations on your little one!

They dont mean to be insensitive, but in my experience they usually get more excited about the sonograms. Dont feel bad,it doesnt reflect the most part on their feelings toward the baby. Its hard for them to make the connection that we have, with our little ones.

no worries, he is just adjusting to the realization that he has a child on the way. And that he will spend the next 20 years paying for the kid. :D

Don't be sad, people have different ways of expressing themselves. You can talk to him. Maybe he doesn't think its a big deal. I think he will be more expressive when the baby actually comes.

he's probably still in shock that he heard his child heart beat. believe me he'll start showing his true feelings when the baby starts to kick and you start hurting he'll talk to the baby and rub your stomach and try to comfort you. my baby daddy did

He might be just in disbelief, its so awesome the first you hear the baby heartbeat, give it some time to sink in. God Bless to you and yours.
