does the depo shot really make you gain weight?

because i have to go on birth control and i'm trying to gain weight anyways and wanted to know if you really do gain weight.

& i'm only 15 so i'm not having kids soon nor do i want any kids

I took the birth control shot from the time i was 16 years old until i was 20 and i didn't gain weight.

Some women/girls are different. Some may gain weight and some may not but i would rather gain weight than gain a baby that i did not want

Yes it does make you gain weight, there's a chemical in the shot that has been used on cancer patients to fuel their hunger. I was on the depo shot for a year and gained 20lbs, and i exercise regulary AND eat right. So i know it's not bad habits that made me gain weight.

I didn't gain weight, but I DID have my period every single day for 9 months.
I finally stopped getting the shot.

Side effects will also vary from woman to woman. What may cause one woman to gain weight, may cause another to lose.

YES!!! Nothing will make you gain weight faster than Depo! When I started it, I weighed 95 pounds. I gained 30 pounds in 2 months! TWO MONTHS! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

my wife was on deo and it messed up her system after being on it . its hard to concieve a baby after the yr and a half she was on it , it messes up the system and i heard that from a few other co workers that were on it as well so please be carefull with using it and you plan on having children in the future.
