Any takes on the right birth control pill?

I am looking for a birth control pill that DOES NOT make you gain 100 pounds right away. I was taking Alesse birth control, but in the first year I gained like 15 pounds. Now I am off the pill, but haven't lost anything, but haven't gained anything, but I would like to go back on with something that WON'T make me gain....any answers?

Different birth control pills do different things to different people. That is why some people gain weight, some lose weight, and you may do different things when changing pills. Talk to a doctor who is knowledgeable about birth control and maybe he/she can find one that is best suited for your body chemistry. I think that generally speaking the lower hormone dosage you are taking the less chance of gaining weight. Also keep in mind that taking the hormones found in birth control pills can cause fluid retention so some weight gain may just be increased water weight.

most pills or contraceptives, will make it easier for your body to gain weight. reason being the pill is makeing your body think you are pregnant. so your body wants to store up fats,,, that is also why your breast tend to get larger and there is a little sickness at first. Some birth control pills are just not as strong as others. I had the same problem and my doctor perscribed me luvlite 22, it is the lightest pill avilible.
