It really depends on what make and model camcorder you have. You may find more informations in the camcorder's manual and manufacturer's web site. I have a Sony camcorder and used as a webcam.

It can also have a firewire (1394) port or an S-video. I've tried it with the firewire port, and I think, the S-video for the webcam, on my Panasonic DV cam. If you have the drivers installed from the company site, you should have no problem.

Ya, I use it, but I didn't set it up. Just connect it to the computer with whatever cords fit :-)
