Yes. as long as she doesn't put down personal info, suck as.... street address, what state she lives in, what city, bank account info, phone number...Etc. Etc. otherwise it's fine.

You should have started your title with the question, "Is it OK to let my daughter on MySpace?". If you have asked it before, why are you asking it again? That is considered spamming, and is against the rules of Yahoo! Answers.

That being said, your daughter shouldn't be on MySpace if she is under 13, as it is against MySpace guidelines. If she is over 13 but under 18, let her on if she wants to but monitor the content she posts. Don't let her put any personal information about where she lives, her school name, her age, or anything that a predator could identify her with. 80% of girls online have been approached by an online predator, and you don't want your daughter to make it easy on them.

Depends. There's been articles on how safe Myspace is, especially to young children. Myspace is very accessible, and it's so popular that even child molester goes there to catch their victims. If memory serves me right, Myspace requires age verification by entering credit card information (they're not being charged). As a parent ... it's a big responsibility to watch your kids.

No do not let her on myspace. Check out the story of the 16 year old girl who ranaway to Saudi Arabia to be with a man 35+. NOT SAFE SORRY.

I would say no. A police detective demonstrated that he could narrow a girl's home within a couple of miles and could figure out which school she attended by using several seemingly harmless bits of info the girl put on her myspace site.

Depends on her age and level of maturity. With heavy supervision and very strong teaching about internet safety, maybe let her do it on a trial basis with very precise rules that she must agree to (with a signed contract) beforehand. Suspend it for the most minor of infractions to let her know how serious you are.

Like someone else said before me...you must have the password. Also, there is software you can install to record keystokes...this might be helpful until you know she can be trusted to use the internet responsibly.

It's ok as long as you watch what she does and she gives you the user name and password....if she doesn't do this then she could end up in a lot of trouble.....make sure to watch out for her and not let other people on there talk to her if she doesn't know them......

But only do this if she is under 17....if she is older than that then she should be able to handle the site on her own.

If they're say, 15 or over I would say its ok, but I would watch what they do on there. Some people have myspace pages just to have fun (innocent fun) on the internet, but others use their pages to "hook up."

yes. this has gotten stupidly blown out of proportion. teach your children not to go out with people from the internet. myspace is a very creative tool for anyone. my son and daughter have done some really cool things with it.

Yes it is totally safe and you can revise her email if you need to!

My kid sister is about 13 and she has myspace and I do to so that I can check to see who her myspace friends are!

Sure, with supervision. I'd also insist on having the user name and password. No password, no myspace account.
