First off don't consume more carbs than you can burn. Carbs, like calories, can be overdone and there are empty ones that just make you feel full. Pretty much anything from the bread/gran part of the food pyramid is going to contain carbs. Fruit and fruit juice and some veggies are also another good carb source. It's a matter of choosing the healthy ones. If your eating bread, go for whole grain breads, if you can SEE the wheat and grains in it and it feels bulky its going to be better for you than bread labeled "wheat" and just looks like they added food coloring to white bread. Of course fresh fruit is going to be better than canned fruit. Look for 100% fruit juice like Dole fruit juices. Follow the food pyramid for recommended portion sizes and amounts and you will be good to go!
If you are carb loading prior to a marathon or another long run/workout, I would recommend going to your local GNC or other nutrition center and asking a nutritionist for recommendations based on your experience and needs.

Try the starchy roots and tubers like potatoes and yams. There are many varieties to choose from. The starches burn slower than sugars, so you have more energy longer.
There is also a less common known fact that jerky is a potent source of muscle energy when working hard or working out. Face it, if the American Pioneers ate it to push the wagons West, it will certainly help you out.

Working out????
Are you just wanting a quick energy fix, or do you want results and a toned body???
Yes, you need some carbs, but you need protein to repair and build your muscles, while burning fat.
And the first girl's answers are some good carb ideas, but if you need energy, be sure to be careful on the carbs you DON'T burn. They will turn back into fat.

Carbs alone aren't the answer. Muscles are made of protein. Feed the muscles what they need.
