Repuglicans like to lift the top box. They assume that all the boxes will follow, democrats lift the bottom box and all the boxes move. It really is that simple. For those of you that are talking welfare reform, where were you when Clinton did it. He started the welfare to work program. In Michigan you have two years to get to work and four years lifetime and you are on your own. None of you blink about spending 10 billion a month on a war that should have never been. To bad that repukes are so indifferent to the poor, because the are just an illness or a lost job away from joining the corp.

You're silly. First of all, rich people know that they need poor people, so they don't hate them.

And you might want to learn how to read so you can pick up some history and facts. Republicans freed the slaves (poor), Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (benefitting many poor). It's the Democrats who have kept the poor "down". The Democrats rely upon the poor and uneducated as their voting base. So they have to make sure the poor and uneducated stay that way. That's why they'd rather hand out money than give people an education and a job. With an education and a job, they might learn that the Republicans are much more beneficial for the economy and personal liberty. Think about it for a minute, if you're able. What is the last problem of the poor that the Democrats solved? If I was poor, I'd vote Republican solely because the Democrats have been promising to solve the poor's problems for fifty years, and haven't solved a single one.

you're stupid. in the beginning, wealthy people comprehend that they choose adverse people, so they do no longer hate them. and it truly is beneficial to verify the thank you to confirm so which you will %. up some history and data. Republicans freed the slaves (adverse), Republicans surpassed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (benefitting many adverse). it truly is the Democrats who've saved the adverse "down". The Democrats matter upon the adverse and uneducated as their balloting base. so they must be particular the adverse and uneducated stay that way. this is why that they had truly hand out money than supply people an preparation and a job. With an preparation and a job, they could study that the Republicans are lots extra useful for the financial equipment and private liberty. think of roughly it for a minute, in case you're able. what's the final subject of the adverse that the Democrats solved? If i replace into adverse, i could vote Republican entirely with the aid of fact the Democrats have been promising to remedy the adverse's problems for fifty years, and have not solved a single one.

We don't hate the poor, we try to educate, and lift the poor out of their current situations, and into a better life. Democrats, on the other hand, like to keep them poor because they are a voting base....this is why they want all the social programs, and no welfare reform...then they tell the poor they will keep these programs in tact if they vote for them....it's a cycle....you guys should stop it.

And Dear Russ S: how come you don't question the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana? Is it because they are democrats? They sat around and did NOTHING while the city was flooded.....but no bad words for them?

p.s. conservative hater: apparently WMD's were discovered in Iraq at an earlier time, but the information is just now declassified and available to the public....can't find it online, but heard it on the radio. Will the liberal media bury this like they did the death of Zarqawi.? they can try, but this is too big....

loubean: let's look at a few things...

A. The south is a stronghold for the Republicans... it has the lowest rates of poverty in the nation...so how are those in poverty democrats?

B. College tuition has gone up an insane amount due to federal and state funding cuts... and it's harder to get aid and college loans collect more interest now... I hope you don't try to "help" anyone else out the way you try to help "educate" the poor

jm: Republicans never taught anyone how to do anything...

It just seemed like the perfect thing to do, so we could irritate idiots like you. I like loubean's answer, only you're the perfect example of why her grand wishes will never come to fruition. You stand against education and initiative! And jm deserves "Best Answer", but you'll never figure out why! And Julia4evert says it so wonderfully, but democrats like you and RussS and ANadineR will always stay at the bottom of the barrell unless somebody pulls you out because you'd rather stand with your finger pointing at someone else as responsible for your lowly state of life rather than get up off your backside and do something about it. How can I be so sure about it?! Because I was where you are, decades ago, in the whimpiest, whiniest, most despicable decade this country has ever gone through, the democrat led 1960's, and only through a tough-as-nails dad who was determined I'd never leave his house as stupid as I came in, I finally learned what conservatism is. And there is where I began my best political decisions in my life. I voted for Richard M. Nixon for President in 1972, the first year I could vote. And I'd've voted for him in 1968 too, but was too young. And I'd've voted for him in 1976 instead of that idiot democrat peanut farmer from Georgia who lost our hostages to Iran for 444 horrible days and nights and gave away the Panama Canal which only we could build, if the democrats hadn't pulled their watergate fiasco. But why should I be so hostile to your evidence of naivete and stupidity. Hell, I was there too, way back in 1960, as JFK was giving Billy Clinton some guidelines on how to act. And I came out of it, much to my dad's surprise. I'm glad he lived long enough to see it. And now my son, in his second tour of duty in Iraq as we speak, will carry on the conservative light within our family, and we'll keep praying for you, whether you want it or not. Just like us "neocons", huh? We'll shove it down your throat whether you like it or not. God Bless you.

The poor are poor because they want to be. I'm not rich but I'm not poor either. I have a job I work for my money and I would rather work than be poor. Besides even if you don't have allot of money that don't make you poor. Sitting around and complaining that you’re poor and not doing something about it is what makes a poor person truly poor. I'm a single father and have custody of my son; I get a whopping 50 dollars a month in child support from the mom (big dbl. standard because I paid 200 a mo.). Is hard to pay the bills sometimes but both me and my son have a good life, I make less than 30,000 a year, but I am no where near poor. I don't take the easy way out I'm taking care of my own with no ones help. (I can't say that totally because I do have relatives that help me out on occasions, but I don't live off of others like the welfare freaks)

Quit complaining about your life and do something to make it better. If not then be poor in your mind and shut the hell up.

Allen liberals hate conservatives because we don't want to take care of them with our money. They don't like the idea of actually having to get a job to live, and would rather sponge off of us. They think they are victims because their life isn't as good as the person who lives down the street. They don't think that they have to be responsible (liberals say it will me re-spon-sible) for themselves and that everyone should take care of them.

They remind them that most of them are 2 paychecks away from being one!

They also tend to lump them altogether and blame them for being poor, alleging that they have some type of character defect, when in fact this country has never had, nor ever will, full employment

The poor are the fallout of free enterprise! They are the ones that PAY THE MOST FOR SO LITTLE!!

We hate capable poor. People that are poor and are trying their hardest deserve pity. People that are poor because they are lazy and/or stupid, don't.

Why do I even waste my time with you?

Afterthought: We also don't believe that giving people handouts with nothing expected in return is the way to help people out of their problems. Welfare isn't a career as you idiot liberals would like it to be (well, actually it is, but we are trying to change it).

Give a man a fish, he eats today. Teach him to fish, he eats forever.

Yeah, bash me for a religious saying. Go ahead. I know it's all you'll be able to do since it's irrefutable logic.

They are convinced the poor are lazy and want things for free.

It has been my experience that my republican friends are the ones usually hiring workers under the table (not paying taxes) and things like that... THey will burn the system any chance they get but they love to point the finger at others.
