its wet and cold and the people...especially bus drivers can be extremely rude!

We were there 4 years ago. It was wonderful. The roads were nice, the peopl were helpfull and warm. We saw so much of the island by just renting a car and driving. We went in August and it was kind of rainy, damp and then sunny. We stayed in Wexford. The stores and banks close at 11am to 2pm for lunch. Everyone goes home for a nap or to the pub for a beer. We only got lost one time durin the week. One time we went to a local shop and there was a sign in the window that sais " went fishing, be back soon, leave money in bowl." Tell me that isn't nice. The entire country is just wonderful. The one time we did get lost was deep into the countryside and the only problem we had was we couldn't understand the girl who gave us directions. It is very nice there. I suggest you go.

Nice place to visit but can wreak your head living there. It's a small countries but that means you can see it all. Dublin and surrounding areas are the city life and then the west coast is more country postcard Ireland.

Lot's of pubs
Most drivers have manners
Never a dull moment
Summer

The Bad:
Weather (9 months of the year)
Crap cold houses
The government
Littering
Scumbags (there's LOTS)
Attitude
Price of car insurance, housing, medical

It's beautiful, the people are great, the craic is mighty, but it is so expensive and the traffic in Dublin and hosiptal waiting lists are scandalous
