ohh i know this one we ahd to read an article about it for english. the taliban (some group)
came there and they have all these ridiculous laws about women. like they cant go to school, show any part of their body (once a women was beaten with a cable becasue her ankle was showing) and they cant leave their house without a close male relative. the big cloth/robe thing is called a burqa

it's part of their religion or culture. i guess you're not suppose to expose a lot of things. i know in the 50s in america, it's a shock to have short skirts... and in the 20's, showing calves is taboo too!
