Difficult? Aren't you having fun trying? If not, you have a serious problem. The pursuit is usually exciting. The real adjustment comes after you find the right mate and have to suppress all of the courtship behaviors that used to be exciting.
Date a lot. Meet the parents and observe their behavior related to child rearing practices. Examine their politics and their religious beliefs. Determine if their level of tolerance is similar to yours related to religion and politics, child rearing and personal relationships.
If you have to break off the relationship, do so in a kindly manner without blaming anyone.
Be realistic about yourself and your expectations.

Its not difficult its only difficult if ya make it. Get out there an prove 2 us women you want us all women want is 2 swept off their feet by a decent man doesnt matter what he looks like as long as we're treated right

It can be difficult. But don't buil up the image of what the "right" person might be like. You never know how you'll feel about someone until you get to know them, so just be yourself, meet people, get to know them and take things as they come.

depends what kinda girlfriend your looking for , maybe youve set too high a standard on what you want , but nope i dont believe its that difficult, plenty girls out there waiting for their mr right

i'm really picky, though, see.
i've only asked two girls out on dates in my life.
one agreed and then the date was terrible, and the other shot me down. :(
