Conservatives and Liberals better agree with me when i say this. We have a responsibility as citizens to do everything in our power to not put our soldiers in harms way unless absolutely neccesary. I think we failed. Why? North Korea wants to test a nuclear missle that could reach our country. So we are trying to talk them down. Iraq, a nation who never attacked us, is being torn apart so Iraqi's can have a democratic government. Why do you think or not think we failed? I am college student so i only understand facts and logical reasoning thanks no opinions please.

My cousin just came back from Iraq and was hit by two IED's. I fully understand what that man has gone through and I am so proud of him.

The harsh truth is that the troops are there because of lies, greed.

How can we have failed when we're still there fighting? And they're doing a hell of a job too.
North Korea is an entirely different issue. We are the United States of America; we can do more than one thing at a time. We have a missile defense program for dealing with people like NK who aren't smart enough to not boast about their weapons.

dear god, we have failed the troops on more than just this occasion and in so many more ways.

i work on a military base, ironically enough, and it is ridiculous to see these young men and women getting minimum wage while stateside and live in what are not the best of conditions. some of the housing still on base is like the damn projects. and can we just bring up the fact that several of our young men and women are living off of food stamps.

we have failed ourselves. was not this nation started on the basis of freedom, and the right to have a say in what happens?
we have allowed ourselves to be blindsided and bamboozled by those with a "higher" education and lower moral standards with their neatly tucked away trip wires.

Favorite bumper sticker ever?? Love my country - Fear my government.

I think that our news media has done the worst damage.I am proud of our troops and will be glad when they are out of there. And yes I feel that they were sent in with one set of objectives and when they got there they changed them.
We were all deceived and have yet to know to what degree.

Yes we did. Absolutely. The US military should not have been used this way. And to add insult to injury, the war was so poorly planned that it is now unwinnable, and our troops are paying the price for this too.

Yes, I agree. Bush failed them when he sent them to Iraq instead of somewhere where they are really needed.

No, my friend. Bush failed our troops, with the help of a lot of corporate buddies.
