Why are they so stupid??

We need the wage increase because of previous inflation... It hasn't rasied in over a decade.. while other salaries across the board have risen.. Of course people should go to college and aspire for better jobs - but when like 30 % of the jobs out there pay under $6/hr .. Someone has to work those jobs! And those people are suffering..

These people are making six figure salaries plus incentives so they just don't give a shi* about the "little" people. It's time to vote them out of office!!

Look I;ve used this answer twice today, 1st I'm not a republican, 2nd if minimum wage is raised then surly prices will be raised, then a person on minimum wage will be worse off than before. When prices are raised across the board they tend to cost everyone more. Kennedy is a drunk murderer who has no idea what poor or even middle class people have to do to survive. If minimum wage is raised, my boss isn't going to raise my salary, your boss probably won't raise yours, then we'll have to pay $5 for a gallon of milk times two kids that's $20 a week for just milk. So please do look at gas prices, they've gone up, they'll not go back down to anything like they were before, and in 5 years they'll soar again and not go down to anything like we had before. Look the bill up on the Internet and check it for "riders" bet there are some choice programs in those riders for Mass.

It's a point that has its good and bad. Small business's can have 5 people working for minimum wage, or 3 people making above minimum. That's good if you're one of the 3. Many small business's can't afford to pay more due to overseas challenges, mainly China. So you can see, there is a lot to it. I think that most companies pay the best they can in order to attract the best people possible.

There is no excuse, It is truly sad though! You would have to work 3 minimum wage jobs and 40 hours a week to support a family.. at least!

Not that I agree with their decision, but I just had this discussion with my husband. It is alot more complicated than just paying people more. Alot of companies can't afford to raise their wages due to inflation. The supplies necessary for companies that pay minimum wages are getting more expensive.

Man, I would really like to know. I guess they don't care about the ever increasing cost of living for lower to mid-class because they get so much money themselves, and don't have to pay higher taxes. Geesh. And they wonder why the economy suffers...
