I have read that there are ways to tell if the tickets are genuine, including the hologram in the top right hand corner, which should say Germany 2006, and the ticket should have indented left and right sides. There should also be a perforation on the right-hand side.

What should the indentations look like and is there anything else to look for?

Hold the ticket into the air and see if you can see the microchips inside it. make sure its allocated by FIFA and FIFA alone not the FA UEFA or anyone else like that.
