Liberals always make exceptions for international terrorists, minorities, the transgendered, and Kennedy family members when it comes to punishing crimes. Why can't they understand that everybody should have the same penalties for committing crimes?

"James F" ... I think that's the first time I've agreed with you. Crazy world.

"ANadineR" apparently has low reading comprehension abilities. I'm saying that liberals are in favor of punishing criminals EXCEPT that they always find excuses why, for example, minorities should be treated differently because they're "disenfranchised" or "disadvantaged" or "differently-needy" than others.

"ANadineR" ... the prosecutor just stated that there was no evidence that Mr. Rove was guilty of any crime. What EXACTLY should I be protesting?

"Decider" ... BE SPECIFIC ... are you really so uninformed of modern life that you need me to provide specifics? Are you saying that those groups never committed ANY crimes? Really? Should we start with Ted Kennedy ...

"fedupmoma" gets it.

"C R" has lost his tinfoil hat again. Oops.

"Answerman" ... I shouldn't have asked this stupid question because now, in addition to having to agree with "James F" I have to agree with you as well. The transgendered thing was just to prove how quickly libs would come to their defense at the mere mention of them being criminals. I just find it interesting that liberals are so protective of the transgendered.

You have submitted an interesting question here. I whole heartily agree with you that everyone should be given the same punishment that is befitting the crime without any exceptions as to whoever has committed the crime, whether it be a well known family such as the Kennedy family or the drug dealer down the block. A crime is a crime no matter who commits it because in the long run it's still a crime that should be addressed and punished to the full extent of the law.
Why should anyone be given a lighter sentence just because of who they are, murder is murder and should aways be addressed as such and let the punishment fit the crime!

So then the crimes that George Bush has and is doing should be punished. I agree with that. I disagree with you on how liberals feel about crime. I didn't know that being transgendered was a crime. I do believe that punishment for crimes ought to be fair. and equal for all. But understand there are extenuating circumstances that would alter this. Such as a first offense. But everyone with a first offense ought to be treated equal. One might argue that a rehabilitation program would benefit society better then a strictly punitive one, in the case of a first offense. Depending on the crime. Like murder is a crime that should be punished and shoplifting is one that you could possibly rehabilitate someone.

Seems that you need to be educated on the definition of a crime. A crime is something that is illegal, hence breaking the law. Your list is of things that do not break the law with the exception of terrorist acts.

Oh and btw, Republicans are getting away with corruption on a daily basis. IE, Carl Rove. Where is your protest for his prosecution?

Seems you need to go back to school and learn how to read what you yourself have typed... you typed "..... a crime is a crime..." Then your low level of a brain says I need reading comprehension education. LOL

Oh and btw, to enhance your reading comprehension levels some (if that is possible for a pee brain) we all know Carl Rove was LET OFF. That was the exact point.

They are specifically trying to cause a break down in law as part of a general monkey wrenching of society. Their behavior makes perfect sense once you understand that their overall goal is the destruction of the US and democracy in the world. This explains WHY they engage in the above.....why they root for terrorists, why they try to get vicious murderers off death row and back into society, why they root for the communists during Vietnam, why they prevented us from intervening in the genocide that happened afterwards, why they are trying to fill the US to the brim with third world criminal scum.

Understand this if you understand nothing else.....when the liberals and other marxists were working against us and for the russians, the cubans, the chinese, the vietnamese and now the terrorists, they KNEW what these people were doing. They KNEW about the hundreds of millions of people being put to death and the horrible slavery and human degradation for the rest. THEY WANT THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN AND WORK TIRELESSLY TO MAKE THEM HAPPEN! They don't even try to hide their motives anymore. They are proud and out in the open about their evil.

Liberals aren't misguided people acting in a way that is foolish and against common sense. They are heinously evil, murdering scum and traitors, one and all. This has dramatic implications for how we should deal with them.

You're right a person comitted of a crime should take their punishment, so what the hell are you talking about!? Of course I'm sure you'll agree that corporate or political criminals such as Ken Lay, Dick Cheney, and George Bush should be prosecuted for their crimes as well, What crimes?, if you have to ask then you better lay off the Kool-aid Neocon.

What the hell are you referring to? I see no specifics, no examples, no references. What crimes do you mean?
BE SPECIFIC if you want an intelligent response from this forum.
How old are you and what is your level of education? Answer please.

By the way - FORD a Republican pardoned NIXON, another Republican for Watergate or did you not study history?

YOU still provided no specifics. Are you saying every question on this forum should be absent specifics? All right lets do it your way and in the future I won't give your questions any specifics, deal?

I don't know. Why don't we call up Richard Nixon's and Gerald Ford's ghosts and ask them why Nixon didn't get prosecuted for the Watergate break in and how Ford had the audacity to pardon him as soon as he was in office.

Then we can ask the Bushes about all that voter fraud in Florida and Ohio. And we can ask all those contractors in war torn Iraq how they get away with charging the government so much money, and how former politicians become lobbyists and make tons of money from big business.

We can ask the guys at Enron how most of them got away with it and then ask the Exxon Boys how come that oil spill happened and how they are still having problems with it.

Check up on all those multi billion dollar, big-business, white collar crimes that go unpunished.

Then come back to me and we'll talk.

Nothing is as black-and-white as you make it seem. Alcohol was abolished and made a crime back in the 30's - so by your reckoning, everyone who drinks alcohol should be punished now.

It's the Republicans who are changing the law to suit their own needs. Just look at the Redistricting scandals in Texas or the change to senate voting policies that caused the Minimum Wage increase bill to fail in the Senate today.

I agree that they shouldn't make excuses. It does seem like the more powerful and/or wealthy a person is, the less chance they are to do jail time. This is one issue that I agree with the conservatives on.

The "problem" with being Liberal, is in the truth that they are so-often ruled by emotion.
Not that others aren't, but emotion influenced by compassion for a flame-issue has the ability to put smoke inside of one's thinking process.
Hence we get issues where an animal and its' "rights" are placed above the need for a reservoir, wetlands removal, etc.

It is not Wrong to be Liberal, just as marked as it is not Wrong to be a Religious Conservative,
However:
Those that think with common sense are those who will not be ruled by "just emotion" (both Right and Left Wings referenced here)
but those who will temper their interest in Religious Interests, and Enviromental Interests, with the ability to broaden their scope of understanding.
Those by Definition are the Centrists.
To be Centrist/Moderate, you CAN have the opinions of a Liberal, or a Religious Conservative,
but your ability to temper that emotional view allows you to govern more thoroughly.

Centrists/Moderates are not without fault though, for the drawback to being in that ilk, is that by broadening your outlook, you many times lose the ability to focus on the macro view of a single concern, and in doing so, are subject to occassionaly voting toward the SqueakyWheel/MostVoiciferous from either the Right or Left..

YahooWishes: This leaves us with the best case scenario, one in which a Pendulum Swinging will eventually allow all facets to rule in different levels of government, thereby affecting the ultimate diecisions made by those with the final say.

We are a nation, that has trouble accepting that all blame cannot settle in one Oval office by convenience.
We have to accept Credit and Blame for the influences we incur when we get involved.

George Bush or Bill Clinton did not make what we are today.
WE DID, and WE need to continue to be a voice,
but WE need to accept blame when things go awry instead of placing it on the shoulders of one Office.

It is convenient to do so,
and as much as I disdain a Liberal viewpoint, :-).....they Do in Fact, Temper the Right.

:-)
Hope my rambling helped, though it is just my humble opinion and shoud be taken with the grain of salt it is.

Good Day to YOU :-)
