For a guy to be older than a girl it depends on how old you are. If you in your 20's the max is 10 years. If the girl is older maybe like a year or two since women tend to be more mature then the male.

If the man is the age of your father, that's too old.
If the woman is the age of your mother, that's too old.
A generation is 10 years. Somone in your generation would be no more than 10 years older or younger than you. But the balance is five years older and five years younger.
30 is the prime age to take off. By this time you should know who you are (what you like and don't like); you should have completed your college education (earning a Ph.D in 10 years from high school); and have the fundamentals in place to do what you love proficiently.

I think it depends on how old they are. If a girl is like 16, then her man should be no older then like 18. But if the girl is 25, then she can be with anyone she wants despite how old. If the two people are in the same part of their life (for example: kids, teenager, adult) then they are fine no matter how much older. But if a teenager is dating an adult then its probably not such a good idea.

Okay. Anna Nicole Smith and that old guy she married? Now that's too old. I think marrying someone who is way too older for you is risky. 1st of all generally speaking men don't live as long as women do, so if he's much older than you then the # of years you'll have with him is limited... Anyway, I think if your guy is 10 years older than you it's okay... but no more than that.
I'm older than my b/f... but not THAT old! I would say the limit is 5 years... beyond that is probably too old. Reason is, again, generally speaking women are more emotionally mature than men. So if a woman dates a guy that is wayyy younger than her she'll probably end up feeling frustrated because her maturity level surpasses the guy's level.

this is funny.
I don't think there is a age limit to love outside of the legal ramifications of a 40 year old dating a 12 year old. :)
I think I read that in Australia the common trend is for younger/older relationships. Has to do with respect and maturity levels.
You can also see it in around the rest of the world.
I say if the two can tolerate each other's differences and medical problems (whichis common in all older humans) then far be it from anyone to attempt to tell them they are way off base in their relationships.

that entirely depends on the ages of the people. if one person is 16, for example, the other probably shouldnt be more than a few years older. if youre talking about adults, more than 10 years is no big deal at all. you should look at the maturity difference more than the age difference

That's something you'd really have to decide for yourself. . . but I'd say that (roughly) more than ten years apart is probably too much. You don't have much in common anymore, and you have to start thinking about the fact that one of you is probably going to end up a widow for a long time. You can't think just about the present day- you've got to consider the future too.

I say that if the boy/girl are under 18 then 3 years difference should be the most. If boy/girl are over 18 than it doesn't matter from then on. You both are legal!

There's no good answer. Age limits are stupid. If the younger person is past puberty and old enough to understand what he/she is doing and if the older person is still young enough to do it (and still smart enough to understand?), then that's good enough. I think that according to Jewish tradition Rachel and Leah were both 21 (Leah was an older twin) and Jacob was 70 or 80 something when they got married. -yk

Depends on the age of both people, like 10 and 20 is gross, but 30 and 40 is not.
