The answers is Yes but only on very rare occasions.

Most dreams are created in the mind and the soul is at peace.

But every so rarely does your astral body (soul if you like) leave your psychical body and travel on the astral plane. These 'dreams' occur if one is partially awake and somewhat aware that one is visiting a relative or a friend etc. If the mind awakes completely it will not accept the reality it finds itself in. In such case some people feel like they are falling right before they wake up. Such dreams oftem occur when a relative (a mother or father in particular) are in trouble or sick, Ones desire to visit them is so strong, one is able to leave the body when sleeping. The Buddhists and Yogas train thenselves for 'out of the body experiences'. Just don't tell a scientist, If he can't see it, measure it, etc. he will laugh at you!

No, dream has nothing to do with your soul leaving your physical body. A dream is the experience of envisioned images, voices, or other sensations during sleep. Dreams often portray events which are impossible or unlikely in reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer. Many people report experiencing strong emotions while dreaming, and frightening or upsetting dreams are referred to as nightmares.
Dreams have a long history both as a subject of conjecture and as a source of inspiration. Throughout history, people have sought meaning in dreams. They have been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep, psychologically as reflections of the unconscious, and spiritually as messages from God or predictions of the future.

Most scientists believe that almost all humans dream with approximately the same frequency. Even those who rarely recall dreams report having them if awakened during rapid eye movement REM sleep. Dreaming in animals varies from species to species. Some species don't dream at all.
