I ABSOLUTELY believe that now is the time to make it official. If we don't do it now, there will be too many Mexicans and others that may change it. If we do it now, it will be ensured forever and it will be all over with. Good question

No, there are far too many languages spoken. If English is going to be the official language, why do some instructions and labels have everything translated in Spanish?

Yes,although we do speak a bastardized version of the (Queen's proper English) that is the language of our Nation. If I decide to move to and live in some third world country,I'll learn that language. If they want to come and live here they need the ability to clearly communicate with us.That way when a Mexican tells me he wants a puta,I won't get hit with my $90 Ping club when thats what I hand him!!!!

Yes. Why wouldn't it be? The language of France is French, the language of Germany is German. The language of Mexico is, uh, Spanish. Why doesn't anyone have a problem with any of those?

no, the fact that we don't have an official language is inviting to immigrants. For older people who have spoken say spanish their whole lives its not fair to not let them be citizens because they dont speak english, they will raise their childeren here and the children will grow up speaking our language, english. Everyone on here is so english supremicy, what happend to the whole melting pot idea?!

Yes-- it should be the Official language.
That doesn't mean that for practical reasons, we don't speak or have signs (e.g. safety, airports, etc.) in other languages.
Language is ONE thing that unites people in one way.
I'm particularly annoyed with Ballots being in a language other than English.

Yes. Having a basic understanding of English should also be a requirement for citizenship.
