the ten calories is from the sugar in the gum. Once you chew out all the sugar, whats left doesn't have any calories so it doesn't matter if you swallow it

I would think that it would be while chewing the calories come from the sugar in the gum. My mom always told me never to swallow gum, that you'll have a heck of a time trying to take a crap. LMAO

I heard somewhere that if you chew gum for an hour the chewing burns calories. Not sure I remember how many? Maybe 20 calories.

I think that's for chewing because after a while the gum has no flavor. It was all dissolved in your saliva.

doesnt matter if you swallow it or not its still 10 calories which is little.

10 cal. while chewing, i wouldn't recommend swallowing it though cause you might clog something up.
