I was just watching the Jim Lehrer Newshour coverage of Bush taking questions from reporters at the Vienna summit. OMG, I have never ever felt sorry for him ever but I actually did.

You do know that his administration never takes questions that they haven't been given beforehand in the states right? Well there, he didn't have the questions so omg he looked like a complete babbling idiot. I'm sorry to say that but he really did.

They asked him stuff about the American global image declining etc.. and he kept just shrugging like 'so what'. It was aweful. It was so bad that the Australian president interrupted and took over... and he sounded brilliant bailing Bush out which actually made it even worse in a way.

Like I said, I actually felt sorry for him.

I saw that too and I didn't feel sorry for him one bit . He is the President of this country and represents us all and I felt embarrassed for the USA . I didn't vote for him but some of you out there did . The people of the world see right through him . I think they feel sorry for this great Nation . We deserve better for our money .

Not bad observations about Bush masking a public appearance without being on Cheney's lap and the ventriloquist operating him However, you made an error - Bush did this SAME thing about 2 months ago. Fighting off his plummeting public approval ratings, he dared go to a public forum where the questions were neither planted nor pitched by a hand-picked audience of believers.

Bush had his head handed to him.

Now give the guy this much credit, however. Embarrassed and out of his deptch both times, Bush still managed to actually come off as a bit humane and humble.

The problem is, WHY IS SUCH AN INCOMPETENT NINCOMPOOP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?

I didn't see but its a known fact Bush does best when in a relaxed open form. He has to be careful as the left is always trying to slip double meaning questions in.
