Ive had a ferret before for 9 years, and now I have a chinchilla who is one year old.he likes to run and play with any other animal that will play with him, dogs, cats, rats, etc.
I f I got a baby ferret and it grew up with alot of "chinchilla contact" than would they be freinds?

It's possible, but as other people have stated, ferrets are rodent killers and chinchillas are rodents.

There are people have cats and birds together, or cats and mice together. It can work. The problem is, if the cat or ferret one single time gets the spark of instinctual prey drive, the bird, mouse, or chinchilla is toast. It could work to raise them together, or you could develop a problem when the ferret hits adolescence. Remember the Disney movie "The Fox and the Hound"? The fox and hound were best buds... when they were pups.

You could consider adopting an older ferret from ferret rescue so that you can deliberately choose one that's already grown up and known to be fairly mellow. Just be prepared to keep them separate forever if there's any sign it won't go well.

Most likely not, ferrets have a very high prey drive and are bred for killing small furry chinchilla-like animals (rabbits). It would probably end in disaster.

NO! Ferretts are natural preditory animals and chinchillas are natural prey animals. Wouldn't recommend that you introduce them...it could get ugly.
