I totally agree with you! When you think of NBA "Greats", who is it you think of first? MICHAEL JORDAN--not Dwayne Wade..! I am in no way putting the man down (he is one HECK of a basketball player), but it is waaayyy too early in his career to tell! Michael Jordan was a legacy almost immediately, but it was AFTER he retired (for the last time) that he became a legend! Let Dwayne grow and age, and maybe in a few years we'll know for sure whether he can be compared to MJ....! =)

Yea i agree with you. To start off Mj is the bar in the NBA every great player is compared to him and all are found wanting. MJ is amazing and as of yet no one is on his level. Wade is good I'll give him that but... he is playing on a superstar team the jam is packed full of superstars. MJ made his team great and there is the very important point that he had no Shaq. Also MJ played in a rougher NBA remember the Pistons now look at the NBA with the flagrant that Stackhouse received. Also Wade isn't even the best player in his class that would Be Lebron James. Until he becomes better than Lebron he can't be compared to MJ.

If MJ had a Center like Shaq he would still be playing!!
Lets not compare but Wade is a SuperStar!! Come back in 10 years and see if he still is the same player and then we can compare!

I am a Mavs fan and right now me and Dwayne Wade have beef, but really he is a great player and deserves everything he gets cause he works hard and he is very humble on his game, but you really can't compare him to MJ yet! he has a long while to go, but untill then MJ will remain the one and only!

I don't think it's fair to compare Dwayne Wade, Lebron James or anyone for that matter to Michael Jordan. There will never be another player like Jordan, so why force players like James and Wade to fill the role that Jordan played. Dwayne and Lebron are very good players (that will probably end up becoming great players), they deserve to be recognized for the kind of player they are individually.

I totally agree. MJ might have some issues, but his talent is unmatched and comparing D Wade to MJ is like comparing Anna Nicole Smith to Marilyn Monroe.

Wade and everyone else has to come a long way for us to even begin comparing them to Michael Jordan.... I give Wade his props for standing out in this final, but going back to MJ is just no comparison!!!

I am a Mj Fan...big time! D Wade is compared to him because of how he:
1. comes through in the clutch
2. makes impossible shots
3. charismatic
4. offensive Juggernaut.
He has a long way to go on defensive and trusting his players to come through. He has the skills to be like mike, but to be equal he has to win 5 more titles, win 3 MVP's and win over 9 scoring titles. Tough road !

I agree with you. But honestly, you must admit that at times he looked like Jordan. He made clutch jumpers, he single handedly broke down defenses, he rebounded, he made quality passes. Seriously, he averaged 39 points a game between games 3-6. I mean, that sounds pretty Jordanesque. Basically, the Mavericks could not stop him. That's what is bringing the comparisons. plus, he's just 24. Jordan didn't get a title until what, his sixth or seventh year as a pro? This is only D Wade's third year. That impresses me. I think he and Lebron are the two best players in the game.

Everyone is compared to MJ but no one will ever take is place or be better than him. He did to much for the NBA i mean seriously. Do you know how many people started watching and going to games because of him. Who can really beat that.

Well, it shouldn't just be a matter of how many rings he has. I think Jordan was very much like Kobe is right now before Phil Jackson came along and learned that, if he wanted to win rings, he had to learn to bring his team up to his level. Wade has already begun to learn this, and, while he may not ever win as many rings as Jordan, he may one day be considered in the same league as Jordan. Only time will tell.
