Blue tooth connects devices wirelessly.

Some applications are wireless headsets, computer connections (computer <-> computer or peripherals (printers etc.))

Most of the applications seem to be in the phone sector though.

Look into using it to connect your phone to your computer so you can create ring tones, manage your phone book, reminders, upload games and music, and whatever else you phone offers.

Also take a look at the headsets out there which will let you talk hands free, wireless.

I love my bluetooth!!
Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs), also known as IEEE 802.15.1. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers and digital cameras via a secure, globally unlicensed short range radio frequency.Bluetooth lets these devices communicate with each other when they are in range. Because it is a radio communications system, the Bluetooth devices do not have to be in line of sight of each other, and can even be in other rooms, so long as the received power is high enough. ...does this help?....:0)

Bluetooth is a wireless connectivity technology.

Now, with that...there are the obvious wireless earphones, but you can also transfer to and from PC's w/ it provided the comp. is either bluetooth already or there's an upgrade key in the USB drive.

It's does more than that as well, but that's all I've ever used it for.

You can sometimes also use your phone to connnect a computer to a internet (if you have a data plan). You should read your phone's manual to see what all you can do.
