Josh howard signaled time out so he got it and it is not guarunteed that Dallas would have made a shot either!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! At last, someone else acknowledges that the refs are human! And it makes me SOO MAD that people are more willing to blame the referees, than blame the Mavericks!!! Not to mention that the Heat had SOME say in what went down...! It wasn't the referees who made the shots, free throws, stole the ball, rebounded, or assisted. It was the PLAYERS! Besides, if referees were perfect, and everything always went how it was supposed to, nobody would watch! Plain and simple! The Heat played like they were the better team, and Dallas didn't! The referees were not to blame. Good points, good question! =)

Both ways?!
What series were you watching?
Sure, the Mavs got a few questionable calls to go their way like every NBA team, but obviously none that cost the Heat a game or two, whereas Dallas would've won games 3 and 5 without some bad calls.
I'm not even a big Mavs fan, I just don't like to see the better team lose a Championship because of some blown calls.

After the fact that in a matter of 8 seconds at the end of game 5, Dwyane Wade commited a backcourt violation, pushed off on THREE players, got a phantom foul and Josh Howard calls a time out between his foul shots when any ref that has been in the NBA for any period of time knows that no one would take their last time out then when they could advance the ball, and that Jerry Stackhouse was unjustly suspended for that game, I give Miami all the credit in the world for stepping up and taking the silver platter David Stern handed them.

What up Ligas3, although there have been a pair of calls interior the 1st a million/2 the place there replace into no foul referred to as- it went the two procedures. As on your remark on Kobe no longer being waiting to be touched- you do comprehend that he has shot 0 loose throws interior the 1st a million/2 and that the Lakers as a team has shot 2 loose throws (and that they are taking part in at domicile)- so i'm undecided which you have any benefit on your argument. in terms of conversing approximately no longer being waiting to be touched- did you watch the Cleveland as against Orlando series. How approximately while on the tip of game 4 while LeBron have been given "touched" and have been given 2 loose throws and then Dwight Howard have been given undercut on a lob and did no longer get the call? LeBron gets extra touch??? LeBron initiates the touch extra often and often gets away with extra steps... the two Kobe and LeBron get "megastar therapy" yet you're unlikely to win a controversy suggesting that Kobe gets extra calls than LeBron. The refs have been consistent and allowing them to play -- and that's coming from a Laker fan - and Orlando has a 14-2 benefit on the loose throw line. Nickster

As a Warriors season ticket holder I witnessed this on a regular basis. The NBA Officials make calls based on the Player not the Rules of the Game. They did it with Michael Jordan and every Star or whoever they want to be a star since I can remember. Did you notice the Refs not be as favorable to Kobe since his troubles with the Law? The NBA Officials are a JOKE. Ask the Warriors front office........they get no calls because they have no superstars!!

I guess because Josh Howard called a timeout at the wrong time and the Mavs fans blame the referees for it. Well every team gets calls they don't agree with just deal with it. If they weren't busy crying maby they could have won.

You must have been watching something else because there were not 'some' questionable calls the refs did almost everything they could to screw the mavs over if we got game 3 and 5 it would have been our trophy and it should have been we just got cheated!

Probably because the refs made a few miscalls that could have allowed the Mavericks to win.

Does anyone know how NBA protests work? I read Mark Cuban wrote an official protest to the commissioner...but how does that work? do they get a chance to prove their point? has any game's results actually been reversed because of a protest?
