I have a family of four. 2 adults and 2 kids. Both kids over 10. I want to go to a place where everyone can have fun. Refer to me all the places- but not too expensive please. I live in Virginia and want to go out of state for Vacation. Thanks.

Niagara Falls is really nice! And great for people of all ages. It would be a long drive from Virginia, but if you can split the driving it wouldn't be too bad.

They're not too expensive. There's tons of GREAT places to eat (Skylon, Minolta Tower, both with great views of the falls), fantastic places to shop, sight-seeing tours and adventures like "Behind the Falls" and "Maid of the Mist," and there's other stuff you can do in the area that doesn't involve the falls (the Butterfly Sanctuary, the Whirlpool adventures and the Gorge all along the Niagara River).

Even if you don't do it this year, keep it in mind for the future, it's a great vacation idea. I love it there every time I go (I've been there like 15 times).

Have fun with whatever you decide to do!!!

Outerbanks NC , Chincoteaque, Lake Lure, NC if you like the mountains, Niagara Falls is fun for kids that age- I agree. New York City
All are reasonable price wise- if you are on a budget.

Also Lancaster County Pennsylvania, Hershey Park is one of the safest, cleanest amusements parks (besides Disney) in the northeast. There is the town of Hershey, Pa to visit, Amish Farms, Caves, Gettysburg is not too far off the route either.

you should go to the Wilderness Resort or Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells. Wilderness is expensive but tons of fun for everybody and Noah's Ark is an outdoor water park that you can visit for the day and stay at a near by hotel or motel for a cheaper price.

Puerto Rico...you dont need a passport, and it has many things similar to Hawaii. Now is the time when the water is clear and calm...and the whole country is fun to travel. San Juan is a great place to see the culture the country has.

I'm not sure how far you are wanting to travel but the Brunswick County beaches of North Carolina are very family-oriented, quiet and relaxing, with lots to do around the area (Wilmington is too the north and Myrtle Beach to the south).
