Yes. The important thing is to have a job. Once you have it nothing says that you can't be looking for a better job.

Well, if you are prepared to do the job, why not apply? I suppose you understand that McDonald's, and fast food chains more generally, can't afford to be too fussy about work history. If you are given the chance, show up on time every day and do the work to the best of your ability. Even if you only stay a few months, or long enough to find something better, it will look good on your next application.

Yes, but don't lose sight of the bigger goals. Try to learn the entire operation inside out and you could own some of the franchises or a competing franchise.
Also, take good notes at the end of the day. Human Resources will ask you difficult questions when you move to other jobs. These notes will help you answer questions such as; "On your last job, was there a time when you had to deal with an irate customer and how did you handle it?" "Have you ever had to assume a leadership role and could you elaborate on that."

I think you should at least apply. Not everyone likes retail/food industry but if you like fast paced environment, and you work hard, it doesnt matter where you apply. A job is a job and if it pays the bills then you should do it.

yes... if you really need or want a job, apply everywhere.
if you don't like it, you can always quit.
plus, employees can be offered very good discounts at mcdonald's, i think.
the important thing is to work on other things or go to school later so that you won't have to be stuck at mcdonald's for too long.
good luck.

McDonalds is a good place to be when you're no place to be. Go there LEARN and become a Shift Manager. The next step is store manager and from there, who knows. If you are a quick study...you will grow!

If you're slower than a turtle sprinting through peanut butter and have a hard time figuring out what to do when someone asks for extra ketchup, then yes, apply.

Actually, McDonald's itself isn't a bad company. It's the food, and the employees that suck. Do it for a few months, and keep looking, at least it'll put some extra cash in YOUR pockets. And isn't that what counts?
