The deep earnest feeling of comfort (and perhaps commitment) in which two people share for each other.
To be more specific, Love is when you look some one in the eye and know their smile is fake.
It's when every kiss means something, but ever small touch means more.
It's knowing that no matter where you are, how older you are or what sex you are, that person is always true to you.
It's being able to sleep together WITH OUT HAVING SEX.
it's knowing you don't have to say your sorry, but you do anyways because it makes them smile, even if it's barely noticable.
It's never giving up on them.
It's knowing they'll wait when your parents (for our younger generation) aren't comfortable with him/her.
It's knowing that you can trust each other.

to me love means seeing yourself with this person for the rest of your life. waking up to them every morning and always being there for them no matter what is going on through the good and bad times and always being able to know that the person is there right beside you no matter what. me and my girlfriend are about to get married and we have only known each other for 2yrs. but we can truely say we love each other because we have been through alot even though everything we have been through we are still together and in more love than ever and we can't picture being without each other no matter what.we even said if we break up for some reason down the line we will still be the best of friends because we love each other so much and theirs nothing that we can do about it she is my world and i am her world we will always be in love and to uses love means just that no matter what happens we will always be there for each other no matter what. thats what love means to use. i hope its the same for you two also.

the word love has a very big meaning in my book. when you love someone you are always wondering how they are doing and if they are thinking about you as well. when you love someone you never wonder why you are with them. You can't imagine your life without that person.

It has many meanings to me. I often call the ones I love Love as a sort of pet name. I also am thoroughly convinced that a body can love with their heart and not their mind and vice versa. Hope that makes sense. Best wishes

its actually lost the meaning i first had for it. i used to think it was a term that meant "i like you, i want to be near you, and you are what makes my life complete"
My wife uses it so much, and acts so opposite of what i thought the term is, that i no longer take it to mean what i said above. i take it to mean " i know you are there, you are mine to treat badly, and i just want you to know this by mouthing an empty phrase"

this is when you grow to have strong feelings for someone else ..you would sacrifice anything for them .you admire them..you hate to see them sad ..you would do absolutely anything to see them smiling.you feel contented..you can trust the person.you feel their pain.you dont love them for their exterior but their interior..you dont love them for their wealth, health,loooks, friends,job,family..you respect their feeling and thoughts..you dont mind if they give you gifts that are not one bit extravagant.you love them for them not their money.wen u see them your heart feels happy.when you are with them you act like urself and not sumone else..you feel comfortable around them..too comfortable..when you see another person you dont have those feelings it is only for one single being..you dont have doubts that they arent THE one.when you get good news they are the first person on your mind to tell..you call call them at any time absolutely and they wudnt not be upset even if its 3.15 in the morning.without them you are not complete..it is unconditional..no strings attached...it is so sad these days that it is rare to find true love....this is what love means to me..mite mean sumin else to other ppl..thanks for posting such an interesting question.ill be cumin back to see what other people think.i think love is sm thing so beautiful and so many people abuse the word..such a shame
